The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Management programme is a research-focused doctorate designed to develop advanced knowledge and expertise in management. Entry Requirement

  • Candidates with an excellent Bachelor’s Degree (MQF Level 6) may be admitted directly into the Doctoral Degree by Research (MQF Level 8) programme, subject to the following conditions: Hold a First Class Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent qualification, Have obtained a minimum CGPA of 3.67 or its equivalent from an academic or Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programme, Be evaluated through a rigorous internal assessment by the HEP, Be approved by the HEP Senate and accepted into the Doctoral Degree (MQF Level 8) programme, Demonstrate satisfactory academic progress throughout the candidature period, Relevant work experience may be cumulative, including experience gained before obtaining the required qualification for the particular level of study, provided the experience is relevant to both the level and field of study

  • A Master’s Degree (MQF Level 7) in Business or a related field, recognised by the HEP Senate
  • A Master’s Degree (MQF Level 7) in a non-related field, as accepted by the HEP Senate, subject to relevant working experience and a rigorous internal assessment
  • A Master’s Degree (MQF Level 7) in a non-related field, as accepted by the HEP Senate, without relevant working experience, subject to passing the required pre-requisite courses

  • International Students: IELTS Band 5.0 or TOEFL iBT 60

  • Other relevant and equivalent qualifications to a Master’s Degree (MQF Level 7) recognised by the Malaysian Government
