Description

The Bachelor in Early Childhood Education (Honours) programme is designed to prepare students for professional careers in early childhood education by equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to work with young children. The programme prepares graduates for employment in preschools, childcare and development centres, children's enrichment centres, children's play centres, theme parks, and other child-focused organizations. In addition to classroom and online learning, students gain practical experience through simulation room activities that replicate real early childhood education environments. The programme also incorporates value-based projects, individual and group fieldwork, and industry-related assessments, providing students with hands-on learning experiences that enhance their professional competencies. Graduates are well prepared to contribute effectively to the early childhood education sector and support the holistic development of young children

Entry Requirement

  • A pass in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with a minimum of Grade C (GP 2.00) in any two (2) subjects, or an equivalent qualification
  • A pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum grade of Jayyid

  • A pass in the Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with a minimum of Grade B in five (5) subjects

  • Matriculation/Foundation or an equivalent qualification with a minimum CGPA of 2.01

  • A Diploma (MQF Level 4) in Early Childhood Education or an equivalent qualification with a minimum CGPA of 2.00
  • A Diploma (MQF Level 4) in any field or an equivalent qualification with a minimum CGPA of 2.00
  • A Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM), Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM), or Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 in a related field, subject to the approval of the HEP Senate, and must attend bridging courses
  • A DKM/DLKM/DVM with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and at least two (2) years of relevant work experience, subject to the approval of the HEP Senate, and must attend bridging courses

  • International Students: IELTS Band 5.0 or TOEFL iBT 41
