The Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) programme is designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and professional competencies required to address the intellectual, emotional, social, and psychological needs of individuals. It provides a strong foundation in psychological theories and practices, preparing graduates to support individuals, organizations, and communities in promoting mental well-being and effective psychological services. The programme enables students to develop the competencies required to coordinate workplace and community resources to meet the diverse needs of clients while fostering the ethical, analytical, and interpersonal skills expected of psychology professionals. Through a combination of theoretical learning, research, industry-based projects, and internship training, students gain both academic knowledge and practical experience, preparing them for careers in psychology and related fields or for further professional and postgraduate studies

Entry Requirement

  • A pass in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) or an equivalent qualification with a minimum of Grade C (GP 2.00) in any two (2) subjects, and credits in Mathematics and Biology, Physics, Chemistry, General Science, or Applied Science, as well as a pass in English at SPM level or its equivalent

  • Matriculation/Foundation or an equivalent qualification with a minimum CGPA of 2.00, and credits in Mathematics and Biology, Physics, Chemistry, General Science, or Applied Science, as well as a pass in English at SPM level or its equivalent

  • A Diploma (MQF Level 4) in any field or an equivalent qualification with a minimum CGPA of 2.00, and credits in Mathematics and Biology, Physics, Chemistry, General Science, or Applied Science, as well as a pass in English at SPM level or its equivalent
  • A Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM), Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM), or Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) with a minimum CGPA of 2.50, subject to the approval of the HEP Senate, and must attend bridging courses in Mathematics and Science
  • A DKM/DLKM/DVM with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and at least two (2) years of relevant work experience, subject to the approval of the HEP Senate, and must attend bridging courses in Mathematics and Science
  • An Advanced Diploma (MQF Level 5) in a related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.00, and credits in Mathematics and Biology, Physics, Chemistry, General Science, or Applied Science, as well as a pass in English at SPM level or its equivalent

  • International Students: IELTS Band 5.0 or TOEFL iBT 40

  • Other relevant and equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government
