Description

The Bachelor of Information Technology (Hons) programme enables students to develop a deeper understanding of technology through a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical applications across four specialisations: Cybersecurity, Computer Networking, Data Analytics, and Cloud Computing. The programme equips students with innovative technologies practised in Malaysia through courses such as Business Intelligence, Programming for Data Analytics, and Cloud Computing with DevOps. It also provides students with a comprehensive understanding of Internet Programming, Principles of Artificial Intelligence, Data Communication, and Computer Networking, preparing them with the necessary skills and knowledge for careers in the information technology field

Entry Requirement

  • A pass in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with a minimum of Grade C (GP 2.00) in two (2) subjects
  • A pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum grade of Jayyid

  • Matriculation/Foundation or an equivalent qualification with a minimum CGPA of 2.02

  • A Diploma (MQF Level 4) in Science and Technology or Business Studies with a minimum CGPA of 2.75, and a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent
  • Any other Diploma (MQF Level 4) with a minimum CGPA of 2.75, and a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent. Candidates with a CGPA between 2.00 and 2.74 may be admitted subject to a rigorous internal assessment
  • A Diploma (MQF Level 4) in Computing or an equivalent qualification with a minimum CGPA of 2.50. Candidates with a CGPA between 2.00 and 2.49 may be admitted subject to a rigorous internal assessment. Candidates with only a pass in Mathematics at SPM level are required to take a Reinforcement Mathematics course with appropriate topics in Information Technology and Information Systems at the beginning of the programme
  • A Diploma (MQF Level 4) in Science and Technology or Business Studies with a minimum CGPA of 2.50, subject to a rigorous internal assessment and a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent
  • Possess Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM), Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM), or Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM) in Computing with a minimum CGPA of 2.50, subject to the approval of the HEP Senate, and must attend bridging courses
